What Will You Learn?
Course Overview: This course is part of the Master Program in Grief Therapy at the School of Grief Education of AITU. It is a 6-hour semester course that must be completed within 6 weeks. The goal of this course is to provide students with a working understanding of how to design and facilitate a counseling support group for bereavement and loss. Course topics will include understanding the therapeutic advantages of support groups, how to set up/organize a support group for bereavement, qualities of an effective group facilitator, handling common issues/prob-lems within a counseling support group, and self-care for the counselor Remember, do not hesitate to contact me with questions about the course, to e-mail me your weekly material or feedback at E.Slebos@aituedu.org. Course Objectives:
