What Will You Learn?
Course Overview: This course is part of the Doctorate Degree Program in Thanatology at the School of Grief Education at AITU.
It is a 6-hour semester course that must be completed within 6 weeks.
This course may be regarded as a preparation for your dissertation. You will research all those instances of voluntary death that exist, describe them, comment on them on how they may appear in a practice and what you might see as a course of counseling/therapy, or what you see as a director of a career in working with one or more of the subjects you researched.
Course Assignments: There are 3 assignments and there is one mandatory book (b0ok 1)and two videos as course material, as well as one supportive book (2). The student has to find their own research materials.
Course Objectives:
The objective of this course is to prepare you for your dissertation by experiencing research, independent professional thinking and developing a holistic approach with regard to bereavement and thanatology.
