What Will Learn?

This class will provide an analysis of business problems and the use of scientific research as a problem-solving tool. This encompasses the understanding and application of appropriate research designs, research statistics, and the use of the computer for data analyses, and report writing and presentation. This is a 4-credit-hour course and allotted 6 weeks of time.

Research Methods

Research Methods is a four-credit course toward the Accelerated   Master in Islamic Finance and Banking Degree program at American International Theism University. Sharia Law guides the economic rules in Muslim countries. That is why Islamic Studies are so important to learn if you plan to work in a Middle Eastern country.

When we talk about “research methods,” we refer to the methodologies surrounding Islamic finance and banking. You will learn how to research various aspects of the Islamic banking industry and the culture which guides it. There are virtual libraries and research institutes available to assist you with this endeavor.

Once you understand the research methods, you will understand how to solve Islamic finance and banking problems in a real-world setting. After all, if you ever get a banking job in the Middle East, you’re bound to come across specific dilemmas that make you question what to do next. But with the knowledge taught to you in this course, you’ll know how to research the problem you face and come up with a viable solution.

It is essential to understand that scientific research is a problem-solving tool. Good scientific research will help you understand the facts and apply them in research statistics, designs, computer analytics, reporting writing, and presentations. You might not think these skills are important as a banker in the Middle East, but wait until you get a higher-level bank management position. Then you’ll be grateful to have these skills.

Research Methods will add four credits to your academic record for the Islamic Finance and Banking Degree program. You’ll be given six weeks to complete the course over the internet. It is plenty of time for most students because they can set their own schedules and log into their virtual classroom whenever they want. You can do the same after you sign up for the course.
