What Will Learn?
Welcome to Critical Thinking, a Bachelor Level general elective course. This course teaches you to take different perspectives and think critically about what you read, write, see, and hear. Learn about reasoning, persuasion, logic, and causality. You will also learn how to apply critical thinking to your studies.
This introductory course introduces students to thinking more critically by improving awareness of logical fallacies, deductive and inductive reasoning, and credibility as just a few examples. Critical thinking helps individuals to avoid mistakes and bias in their own work as well as the work of others. Are you curious how the media packages information to contain bias or how a better debater can win an argument even when taking the weaker position? If so, this will be an enjoyable class for you.
Critical thinking is essential for college students. With improved skills in this regard, students are better prepared to ask the right questions and give meaningful answers in scholarly work.
