What Will Learn?

This course is part of the Accelerated Doctorate in Grief Counseling program at AITU. The aim of this course is provide students with an overview of major ethical issues in counseling and how to handle a variety of situations in practice, including self-awareness, multicultural sensitivity, legal issues, confidentiality, boundaries, multiple relationships, issues surrounding consultation and supervision, and a selection of ethical issues related to work with couples, families, groups and communities. It is a 6-hour semester course that should be completed within 6 weeks.
