What Will You Learn?
Course Overview: This course is part of the Doctorate Degree Program in Thanatology at the School of Grief Education of AITU.
It is a 6-hour semester course that must be completed within 6 weeks.
The goal of this course is to provide students with an overview of major concerns and issues relevant to the relation between trauma and loss, their impact, and their consequences on people.
Course Assignments: There are 4 assignments for which the student has two mandatory books as material. The student will have to make use of the materials from the complete program and what they seem appropriate and relevant material located elsewhere in the public domain.
Course Objectives: The goal of this course is to understand trauma and loss and how they can impact our clients. The course is designed to further understand the psychological experience of loss, ambiguous loss, resilience, and how to strengthen outpatients therapeutically. The goal of gaining further knowledge on attachment and its relationship to grief work
